James Harnett (BSocSc)

Since 2005 the WSU have used Scott Sound for our sound and lighting requirements.  Over a variety of different sized events, Scott and his technicians have provided excellent service.  They have a vast knowledge of the industry and operate some of the best gear around.  Scott’s hard work, attention to detail and commitment to quality means we can feel confident that our interests are being looked after.  I have no hesitation highly recommending Scott and his team.

DAY3 (Deni J Vanin)

Scott Sound are the absolute leaders of the sound and lighting industry! Nuff Said!
However in saying that ill share my storey with you … I am the drummer in a band called DAY3 who together have won many various Battle of the Bands along with Most Promising Metal Band, Best Song Writers and Best Drummer awards over the years.

DAY3 are absolutely professional in everything we do as a band and put a lot of time and money into our shows (original bands rarely get paid y’know) and we have had our fair share of crap PA systems and worked worked with a lot of sound men who couldn’t mix a live band to save themselves.

You can put 30 plus hours per week into band practice, spend tens of thousands of dollars on gear however none of that matters when you get on stage and the system cant handle the volume and clarity you need and the sound man doesn’t have a clue about mixing a band because this will make you sound like utter rubbish no matter how good you are. What make things worse is you can’t do anything about it because you’re on stage! It’s a part of your live show you can’t control at that given moment.

This situation has happened to DAY3 many times before we recently teamed up with Scott Sound. The bit that breaks my heart is the loss of new fan base opportunities we have had. People that have never seen or heard DAY3 before left several of our shows saying, “So what? It sounded crap, they are just another noisy heavy metal band”, which lead the whole to a real low in morale and de-motivated the whole crew.

Then one special night at the finals of the Axces Bar ‘Rattle the Room’ Battle of the Bands, the heavens below sent us Kyle (Scotties Wingman) from Scott Sound who was running the bands through the best sounding (and cool looking) PA system I had heard for a long time. I started feeling excited about performing live again. This was only the beginning!

We got on stage and the sound coming from the stage monitors was the most inspirational sound I have ever heard on stage. The whole band could hear everything as the mix on stage was perfect! I laughed out load at myself thinking “Hell Yeah! This is what it’s supposed to be like”. It was the best show we had played in a long, long time which lead us to winning the competition with the whole bands confidence and inspiration back in tact.

Everyone and I mean everyone that we spoke with that night said that was the best we have ever sounded on stage and I couldn’t stop smiling all night. That alone was more rewarding to me than the prize money hands down! That is why we play live shows, to get our music out there and for there people to love it!

It has been about eight or nine years since we have had a sound man to rely on at the level we play at and we love the new relationship being formed with Scott Sound. Why compromise any of your live show for anything? You get what you pay for in this world and Scott Sound are worth every cent, in fact your getting a bargain for the end result they deliver, trust me, I know!

So … Scott Sound are the absolute leaders of the sound and lighting industry! Nuff Said!

Saint John's College

Saint John's College enjoyed the service of Scott Williams of Scott Sound and Lighting for the annual School Ball 2008. As pervious clients of Scott's for a social earlier this year, we were already well-versed in the extraordinary quality and performance of him, his team and his sound and lighting.

His performance on August the 9th, 2008 was no exception. In fact, it was one of the finest we have ever experienced, surpassing any DJ we have previously hired. It is a difficult feat to attempt to describe the sound itself, the quality and volume completely astounded us. Combined this with the dazzling lights and lasers, and we were presented with an exhilarating atmosphere, an ambience that could easily be likened to any club or rave. Those in attendance were very vocal about their satisfaction with the DJ, described as "mind blowing". This is evident as there were two rooms in use, one with another band (who was very good) and one with a DJ, and a much larger proportion of students were in the DJ room compared to the band room.

As for the DJ's, they listened very intently on our music/playlist requests, using a lot of the music we asked them to play. The music they played of their own selection was well chosen and very suited to the audience. I have heard no complaints thus far on the music played. It was a diverse range of songs that ensured a vibrant, enjoyable function.

Scott has offered us exceptional service. His responses are always prompt and the lines of communications were very open. He was flexible, a pleasure to work with, and is unbelievably reliable ? there were no worries about the music side of the function because he assured he had it covered, and we can whole-heartedly testify that he did. We recommend Scott Williams and Scott Sound and Lighting to anyone looking for sound and lighting services, and will certainly be using him again the next time we need a DJ. There is little more I can say except that he is phenomenal, and was an integral part of the success of our School Ball.

Yours Sincerely,
